The Bauli Group investing young talents: the Ruggero Bauli award is born.

Verona, February 21st, 2025

The new project, in collaboration with CAST, supports the creativity and training of aspiring pastry chefs.

The Bauli Group continues to invest in talent and the training of new generations of pastry chefs with the launch of the “Ruggero Bauli Award,” created in collaboration with CAST, a renowned institution specialising in higher education in culinary arts and hospitality management.

At the heart of the initiative is a significant growth opportunity for young pastry chefs: the winner will receive a cash prize of 5,000 euros, alongside access to advanced training courses offered by CAST, valued at 10,000 euros. Additionally, the winning recipe will have the chance to be produced as an official reference product of the Bauli Group, turning an idea into a tangible product on the market.

Participants will compete to create their own version of pandoro, either in its traditional form or through special variations. After an initial selection based on creativity, technique, and originality, the finalists will proceed to a practical test at the CAST Campus in Brescia, where they will need to demonstrate the feasibility of their product. The competition will conclude with the official presentation of the creations to the judging panel, followed by a tasting session to determine the winner.

“We are proud to continue our collaboration with CAST and offer the best talents a unique opportunity to shine,” says Michele Bauli, President of the Bauli Group. “Our commitment to training is constant: following the success of the Bauli Patisserie Academy, we want to continue promoting the creativity and skills of young pastry chefs, giving them the chance to prove themselves and make their mark in the industry.” The project aims to promote an innovative concept of pastry, combining artisanal tradition with industrial production processes.

“Innovation in pastry comes from the balance between research, technical skills, and creativity. With the Ruggero Bauli Award, we want to offer the opportunity to apply one’s skills and ideas, experimenting with new solutions that are in line with the pastry tradition that Bauli has always been an ambassador of. We are confident this will be an excellent testing ground to identify and promote the best pastry chefs of the future,” adds Marco Trezzi, Chief R&D Officer.
Through this investment in training and innovation, the Bauli Group reaffirms its role as an ambassador of Italian pastry tradition, supporting new talents and providing them with concrete opportunities to stand out in the pastry world.

“Passion and creativity, together with rigor and determination, are the most important ingredients for us at CAST. They are the ‘seeds of possibility’ that we work every day to nurture in our young students, who, through this Award built together with Bauli, will become drivers of innovation and courage,” says the enthusiastic comment of CAST CEO, Cristian Cantaluppi.
